Gab De La Vega announces 2026 Canadian Tour in support of the album “Life Burns”
Gab De La Vega, a singer-songwriter from Brescia, Italy, rooted in punk rock and hardcore, is set to return to Canada for a new run of solo acoustic shows in support of his latest album Life Burns, continuing a journey that has grown stronger with the country over the years.
The tour will kick off at Pouzza Fest in Montreal before travelling across Quebec and Ontario, including a stop in Toronto, a city he now considers a second home, where he will once again perform at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, one of the most iconic venues in Canadian music history. The journey will then continue west, reaching Alberta for the first time. A total of 26 shows spread over roughly a month.
“I’m extremely happy to be coming back to Canada and bringing the acoustic Life Burns tour to a country that means a lot to me,” says Gab De La Vega. “It all starts at Pouzza Fest and then I’ll be playing across Quebec and Ontario, including Toronto, which has become a second home over time. Going back to the Horseshoe Tavern, one of the small temples of Canadian music history, is always something special.”
“Getting the chance to finally make it to Alberta means a lot to me. There are people there who believed in what I do and gave me the opportunity to bring these songs to places I’ve never been before. That’s something I don’t take for granted.”
Entirely self-booked and independently organized, the tour reflects the DIY ethos that has always defined Gab De La Vega’s path. “This is a fully DIY tour, like pretty much everything I’ve done since I started. It’s about connecting with people, musicians, promoters and venues who genuinely care about bringing music to their cities. When I think about it, it still feels surreal that songs written in Brescia can travel this far and take on a life of their own.”
Over the years, Gab De La Vega has brought his music to over 20 countries across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and South America, sharing the stage with artists such as Frank Turner, Against Me!, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, Chuck Ragan, Joey Cape, Tim Vantol, Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds) and many others.
In addition to his solo performances, he also plays with a full band under the name The Open Cages. His latest album Life Burns, released in March 2024 via SBÄM Records in collaboration with Sell The Heart Records (USA), Epidemic Records, Motorcity Produzioni and Overdrive Records, has received strong feedback and has been supported by extensive touring across Europe and the United States.
For this Canadian tour, Gab De La Vega will be joined by Fast Eddie from May 21st to 24th, and by James Renton for the Alberta dates from June 9th to 11th, sharing the stage with longtime friends and new connections along the way.
