THE SMASHROOMS: “We stop here, indefinitely” / “Ci fermiamo, a tempo indefinito”.
[ITA] The Smashrooms si fermano, a tempo indefinito.
Dopo tanti anni, tanti tour e tanti dischi e a meno di un anno e mezzo dall’uscita dell’ultimo lavoro “Wildfire”, il trio hardcore bresciano decide di fermarsi.
Ecco l’annuncio della band.
[ENG] The Smashrooms go on indefinite hiatus.
After many years, many tours, many records and after less than one year and a half after the release of their latest work “Wildfire”, the italian hardcore trio decided to stop.
Here’s the band ‘s annoucement.

Qualche giorno fa ci siamo trovati a parlare un po’ delle nostre vite e di questo gruppo, che di esse è sempre stato una parte molto importante.
Abbiamo parlato tanto e alla fine abbiamo preso una decisione che, per quanto sofferta, crediamo sia la più giusta da prendere in questo momento.
THE SMASHROOMS SI FERMANO, A TEMPO INDEFINITO.
Non abbiamo voluto parlare di scioglimento. Non è uno scioglimento.
Perchè questo di solito arriva quando le persone non vanno più d’accordo, le band non hanno più niente da dire o non possono portare avanti il proprio progetto.
Invece la nostra amicizia e ciò che condividiamo come gruppo e come individui sono ancora intatti. Sentiamo che il nostro messaggio, parte importantissima della nostra musica, è ancora vivo, per noi che negli anni lo abbiamo portato in giro, così come per tutte quelle persone che da esso hanno ricevuto qualcosa. Persone che ci hanno sempre dimostrato affetto, supporto disinteressato e amicizia.
Le cose che ti permettono di continuare a fare ciò che ami e ciò in cui credi sono molteplici, ma può capitare che l’energia, gli stimoli, la motivazione, possano venir meno.
Abbiamo sempre voluto dare il massimo per questo gruppo e oggi questo non ci risulta possibile.
“Il futuro non è scritto”, hanno detto. Noi crediamo che sia così. Non sappiamo cosa succederà in futuro, ma sappiamo che qualsiasi cosa faremo nelle nostre vite, cercheremo di farla al meglio delle nostre possibilità, come abbiamo sempre fatto.
Suoneremo ancora tre concerti, quelli che erano già in programma.

TO ALL OF YOU…
A few days ago we met to talk about our lives and this band, which has always been a very important part of them.
We’ve been talking a lot and we eventually took a decision, which is as painful as right to take in this moment.
THE SMASHROOMS STOP HERE, INDEFINITELY.
We didn’t want to talk about breaking up. This is not a breaking up.
Because usually bands break up when people don’t get along anymore, they have nothing left to say or just can’t keep up their project.
But our friendship and what we share as a band as well as individuals still remain intact.
We feel that our message, which is a very important part of our music, is still alive, for us as well as for those people who got something out of it during these years. People that always showed us love, disinterested support and friendship.
There are many things that make you keep up the things you love, but it can happen to run out of energy, excitement, motivation.
We always wanted to give our best for this band and this doesn’t seem to be possible today.
“The future is unwritten”, they said. We believe it is so. We don’t know what will happen in the future, but we know that whatever we’ll be doing in our lives, we’ll always try to do it at our best, just like we’ve always done.
We’ll play three more shows, which were already scheduled.
